Mary studied interior design and visual arts in London and Brighton.  

For the past few years she has worked from a studio in the Surrey Hills UK.  

She has an expressive approach, constantly experimenting with mark-making, colour, layers of paint and other media to create atmospheric, energetic work.  In recent times her inspiration has come mainly from her immediate landscape of woodland, farmland and commons.
